1. Open your PowerPoint slideshow. Use the left navigation bar to display the slide on which you want to play music.
2. Click the "Insert" menu button and then select "Movies and Sounds." This opens a new window where you enter the sound clip for your slideshow.
3. Click "Sound from File" and select the sound clip from your hard drive. You can also select "Sound from Clip Organizer" and select a pre-made sound available through Powerpoint. Click the "OK" button.
4. Select "Automatically" to play the sound when you reach the slide or select "When Clicked" to insert a button on the slide. Click the "OK" button to save the settings.
5. Click the button on the slideshow to test the new sound. If you chose "Automatically," click the "Slideshow" button and navigate to the slide. The sound begins when you reach that particular slide.
